Rece Davis: Insomniac

Is he getting paid overtime for this? God, I hope so. Hopefully he won't fall asleep on the set.

Phssssssssst......Rece, wake up! It's only halftime, brother! Like Nick Saban always says, when you lose your focus late in the game you make dumb mistakes. Can we get a Red Bull over here?

I will say though that I enjoyed the June Jones interview, but isn't ESPN overdoing this a liiiiiiiiiiiittle bit? 25 hours (not really with PTI, Around the Horn, and Sportscenter) is over-the-top if you ask me. If ESPN is doing this for college football, what's next, a 48-hour marathon of rehashing the same old NFL stories non-stop?

Keep fightin' Rece, you've got a big day ahead of you! :D

I've watched a little of all this nonsense, but who in their right mind is staying up all night to watch what they've essentially been saying for weeks?

Me :)

Basically because there's nothing else on and I missed the College Football Live thing earlier in the evening.

I will say though that The Blogosphere is a much better medium for information. It really is. You have regular people talking about the team that they love (mostly objectively) and it's good analysis.

For instance, I'm not trying to brag (I could tell you some other predictions I made last year :0), but I did predict Central Michigan to win the MAC because in my heart of hearts, I truly felt that Kelly was building something at Mt. Pleasant that was ready to take off. Most ESPN guys had the same ol'-same ol': Toledo, Miami OH, Bowling Green, or Northern Illinois.

That's just one example, but the people that are closest and follow their teams usually have a better sense of what is going on.
